Black History Month: Songs of The Civil Rights Movement

These are trying times for our country. Our president is a racist and a bigot. So for Black History Month we at Multi Magazine thought it would be nice to look back to a time when people united against injustice and made great progress in the fight for equality. We have taken some serious steps backwards with our current government, and it is about time that we gained a foothold and started to push back. This collection of songs comes from the streets of Selma, The march on Washington, and countless other protests across the country. From the record players in black and white households, igniting a fire in the belly of the oppressed and their allies. Let these songs take you back in time to the most important social revolution in our countries history and know that the fight is far from over.
